| Short description: | The essence of this course is to provide the most important compounds achemicznych the one hand included in the body of animals and relevant physiological and on the other hand, the feed being the provider of these adequately to the needs of the animals. The nutritional value of feed is M.inn. determined by the number, type and mutual proportions of these compounds. |
| Full description: | During this series of lectures will discuss basic chemical compounds that build the plants, animals and organisms which feed ingredients determining the correct feeding. Will be taken into account both the construction chemical properties of individual chemical compounds and their place in the metabolism of animals, the role of the physiological and nutritional importance. Will discuss the effects of which cause a deficiency of these substances in the course of metabolic processes and translate these parameters production animals. The physiological mechanisms will be also responsible for the intake of feed and the physiological basis of each nutrient digestion by livestock. Discussion of mechanism of absorption of compounds resulting from the activities of digestive enzymes will be the subject of ending lectures. |

| Learning outcomes: | After course completion In area of knowledge: 1. Student has a general knowledge of the molecular structure of plant and animal organisms. The student knows the chmiczny (basic) organisms. He knows their structure and functions in the body of animals. He knows the chemical composition of the feed and the relationship between him and the value of such food. He knows the processes of collection of feed digestion and the ingredients contained in them and their absorption. In area of skills: 1. Student can assess the value of raw materials and products of animal origin and feed. He can verify / interpret the results of chemical analyzes feed. In area of social competences: 1. Student understands the need for learning throughout life. 2. Student is aware of the risks and is able to assess the effects of the activity in the broadly understood agriculture and the environment. |
